Boston, MA — November 1, 2020 — Shiminly Educational Services today announced the official launch of its groundbreaking Life Skills Program, designed to help K–12 students around the world develop the critical personal and interpersonal skills needed to thrive in the 21st century.
The Shiminly Life Skills Program bridges the gap between traditional academics and the essential competencies students need beyond the classroom—such as communication, teamwork, emotional intelligence, global citizenship, adaptability, and creative problem-solving. Through instructor facilitated lessons and projects, Shiminly empowers students to take ownership of their learning while preparing for success in school, work, and life.
“Our mission at Shiminly is to nurture well-rounded, globally aware learners,” said Shama Nannapaneni, Co-Founder and CEO of Shiminly. “While schools do an excellent job of developing academic knowledge, students also need opportunities to build resilience, empathy, and collaboration skills. That’s what the Shiminly Life Skills Program is designed to provide.”
The program’s curriculum was developed by educators and global education experts, aligning with international standards for social-emotional and future-ready learning.
“Education is evolving rapidly, and life skills education is no longer optional,” added Nannapaneni. “Our goal is to partner with schools, teachers, and parents to make these skills accessible to every learner, everywhere.”
