Shiminly was founded with the purpose of bridging skill gaps in a rapidly changing world. We equip students with the necessary Life Skills Education to successfully navigate unexpected challenges in a global society.

Shiminly’s mission is to integrate essential Life Skills Education into the classroom, bridging the gap between traditional academics and 21st-Century learners. Our aim is to promote student resilience and increase career readiness, empowering individuals to achieve personal and professional success.

Our turnkey Life Skills Education Curriculum is accessible to students and educators through live, hybrid, or on-demand sessions, tailored to your needs. Rekha

India
Rekha is the EMEA Partnerships Manager at Shiminly. She works closely with the schools and handles the delivery of the programs. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Management from the University of Mumbai. Prior to this she handled Regional franchise sales for Preschools and also has years of experience working across various domains. Her positive attitude at work and a proactive approach to face challenges is what makes her stand out. She finds travelling and sketching a way to express herself.

Why Shiminly? Rekha firmly believes that education is the cornerstone of personal growth and a key to success in life. She feels proud to be a part of Shiminly team that nurtures young minds and inspires them to rise to the challenges of the future.
Aume

Aumee

US
Aumee works with the instructional design team to develop the curriculum, courses, and assessments for Shiminly. Before Shiminly, he was an instructional designer and classroom teacher in institutes across China, Spain, Australia, and Canada. He holds an hBSC in Neuroscience and a Master of Science in Neurophysiology from the University of Toronto.


Why Shiminly? He believes that every challenge that our planet and societies will face over 50 years can be overcome by today’s students as long as they develop certain 21st century skills. These skills form the foundation of the Shiminly curriculum. He wants every child to have the opportunity to develop these skills so that, in addition to solving real-world problems, they can become the best version of themselves in the process.

Chris

US

Chris is a member of the partnership team at Shiminly, dedicated to establishing and developing collaborations that enhance opportunities for Shiminly students. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at Hampshire College with a concentration in Latin American Studies, History, and Creative Writing. He has a background in non-profit work, customer service, and international experiential learning programs. He’s passionate about community engagement and living with both a local and global mindset.


Why Shiminly? He’s excited to work at Shiminly because he values learning life skills inside and outside of the classroom while finding ways to bring them together. He wants every student to have the best opportunities available in making the right choices for themselves, their communities and broader global community. After many experiences, Chris hopes to honor those opportunities by helping to coordinate new ones for the next generation of Global Citizens. He believes in the importance of fostering a more empathetic and cooperative global community to face the growing challenges of the world. To know is not enough. It’s just the start of what one can do with others and for others. The world works best when it works together.

Amy

Amy is an instructional designer who develops content and resources for both students and facilitators. Before Shiminly, she began her career as a music and ESL teacher, and has taught in Spain, Italy, China, and Australia over the last 10 years. She’s passionate about using her creativity and international experience to build engaging and accessible content for all types of learners. 


Why Shiminly? Amy believes that every child has unique abilities and learning styles, and that the classroom should be a safe and malleable space that opens the minds of learners and allows them to express themselves freely. She also believes that every learner, no matter their age, should have access to diverse topics that build on traditional education in a meaningful and practical way. She wants students to understand that learning should be a joyful and lifelong practice, and that a person’s level of education can only be measured by conscientiousness, compassion, and generosity. 


Sonja

US

Sonja Jackson serves as a sales coach and strategy consultant for Shiminly. She is a knowledgeable business development professional with expertise in closing sales, leading field sales teams, sales training, coaching, strategic business growth, competitive positioning, and sales best practices.

During her career, she has served as the Director of Corporate Partnerships, National Director of Educational Partnerships, International Sales Manager, and Membership Service Manager. Sonja holds a master’s degree in Business Education and BBA both from the University of West Georgia. She also holds Women in Leadership and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certifications from Emory University.

Why Shiminly? Sonja holds a steadfast commitment to the need for diversity of thought, equitable learning, and the inclusion of all students in the classroom, regardless of their zip code. Shiminly helps provide opportunities for all students to gain a sense of belonging, global awareness, and self-confidence.

Ritesh

India
Ritesh, a pharmacy graduate, has been immersed in the education field for the past six years, leveraging his expertise to make a positive impact on students’ lives. Apart from his professional endeavors, he is recognized for his talent as a vocalist, his fascination with driving and the principles of physics. His commitment to fitness is inherited from his mother, a former state powerlifting champion. With a diverse background and a passion for continuous learning, he approaches every endeavor with enthusiasm and a desire to excel.


Why Shiminly? Ritesh wholeheartedly believes in the vital importance of life skills education. Through his association with Shiminly, he has gained invaluable insights into navigating life’s challenges and the significance of honing essential life skills. He firmly believes that in today’s fast-paced world, equipping individuals with the tools to thrive personally and professionally is paramount. The alignment of Shiminly’s mission with Ritesh’s own values makes it a natural choice for partnership, providing a platform to contribute meaningfully to society and empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives.

Yuvraj

India

Yuvraj leads all go to market strategy and operations for Shiminly. Previously, he managed partnerships and growth for Clever Harvey and served as the regional head of APAC School Solutions for Callido Learning. Prior to his time in the edtech space, Yuvraj gained experience in the hospitality, real estate and media industries. Yuvraj holds a HND in Hospitality from IHMES International Hotel School, Isle of Man. 


Why Shiminly? He believes he could have been equipped with much more knowledge on how to deal with the real world than he was taught in school at his time. He’s therefore on a mission to bring in Shiminly’s life skill curriculum into schools by empowering teachers with the curriculum they need and students with opportunities to sharpen their skills in preparation of the changing world ahead of them.

Shama

US

Shama is the CEO and Cofounder of Shiminly, overseeing all aspects of product development, go to market strategy and operations. Previously she confounded and led Sigma, Inc., a professional staffing firm focused on the IT, Healthcare and Pharmaceutical industries. Shama holds a BA in Economics and Law from Nagarjuna University and an LLM in Corporate & Financial Laws from Fordham University, USA.


Why Shiminly? Shama founded Shiminly with the goal of bringing some of her personal and professional experiences to students and parents. She has seen first hand how life skills help students become more content with themselves and in return more confident and grounded. These skills also help parents become more confident in their child’s decision making, yet many schools don’t emphasize the competencies. She hopes Shiminly programs can make these skills more accessible to schools and students around the world. 

Rishikesh

India

Rishikesh, a lifelong learner, keeps up pace with the ever developing IT sector. As an IT executive with over 7 years of experience, Rishikesh has worked closely with educational institutions like Oakridge International School, Nord Anglia Group and Vibgyor Group of schools. His role involved providing comprehensive technical support, encompassing hardware and software troubleshooting, CCTV and server management, and ensuring data security for students and staff.  He demonstrates a strong aptitude for technological innovation and problem-solving. He brings rich experience and expertise to Shiminly with an aim to provide end to end technological support. Bringing visibility to Shiminly as an institution to learn skills for life, is his core mission.


Why Shiminly? As a personal choice, Rishikesh believes in continuously expanding his knowledge and skills in emerging technologies and believes that life skills are an integral part of facing the unfamiliar. His ideas and thoughts are in sync with what Shiminly aims to do – creating learners for life who are global citizens. Hence, through his knowledge, Rishikesh wishes to see the big idea of Shiminly grow and contribute to the growth.

Saket

India

Saket is the EMEA Partnership Lead at Shiminly and excels in forging strategic alliances and driving growth across the region. With a background in business development and a passion for technology, he thrives in the fast-paced world of innovation. Outside of work, Saket is an adventurous spirit, finding inspiration in outdoor exploration and photography. He believes in the transformative power of technology and is dedicated to making a positive impact in the world through his work at Shiminly.


Why Shiminly? Saket is passionate about empowering students and educators with essential life skills beyond traditional academic subjects. By working at Shiminly, Saket can contribute to creating a positive impact on the lives of young learners and educators alike.

Dipti

India

Dipti is the first face of interaction between any school and the Shiminly team. Her research into knowing the goals and mission of the school leads to meaningful discussions that become the first step of bringing in Shiminly Life Skills Programs into schools. She has completed her Bachelor of Arts  in Psychology and Philosophy. Dipti, during her professional journey has worked with schools and in the travel and hospitality industry trying to build teams, connecting with like minded people and converging the needs of various individuals and organisations.



Why Shiminly? Dipti is a strong believer of the fact that exposure to skill development at an early age leads to creating problem solvers. She loves being with students and always looks forward to their well being and growth as well rounded individuals.. Her thought and idea of building skills at school level completely aligns with the Shiminly’s mission of creating Global Citizens.

With a distinguished career in coaching and learning development spanning over two decades, Melissa brings a wealth of experience to nurture personal and professional growth. Alfoncina is a recent graduate from the University of Kent. She received her bachelors in Spanish and Management, and she has been teaching online since 2018 alongside her studies.
She is passionate about languages and she speaks English, Shona, Spanish and Portuguese and wants to learn even more langauges. Alfoncina strives to ensure students are always engaged and supported in class. She creates a safe learning environment where students can explore their ideas, challenge themselves and most of all be their best self. She encourages her students to empower themselves and grow intellectually.
